Data Protection & Privacy Policy
Information and detailed explanation regarding the storage and processing of personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Your safety is our personal priority—not only while you are soaring through the trees in our park but also when it comes to your personal data. Therefore, we process your information exclusively on the basis of legal regulations (GDPR, TKG 2003). In this policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
Voluntary Information: When you contact us (e.g., via email), we collect and store the information you voluntarily provide (e.g., name, email address, phone number). This allows us to reach you regarding potential contracts or your specific inquiries. We do not share this data with third parties unless you explicitly request us to do so in writing.
Technical Data: During your visit, we record your IP address (Internet Protocol) used to connect your computer to the internet.
Participation Conditions (Liability Waivers): To protect your data as best as possible, we avoid digital forms on our website. You will receive our participation conditions exclusively as a PDF to be filled out by hand at home. This ensures your data is not captured electronically. We collect your first name, last name, and date of birth for your visit to the climbing park. These forms are neither scanned nor digitally processed; they are filed in paper form and destroyed at the end of the season.
2. Online Booking & Third-Party Services
Booking System: For ticket or voucher bookings, we use Fareharbor (Fareharbor B.V., Herengracht 597, 1017 CE Amsterdam, Netherlands). As a Dutch company, they comply with current EU data protection standards. During the booking process, we require your name, email address, and payment information. This data is stored by Fareharbor solely for payment processing and the issuance of invoices and tickets.
Analytical Tools: We may use software tools to measure session information, including page response times, duration of visits to specific pages, and interaction data to improve our service.
3. Data Storage – How & Why?
Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix provides us with the online platform to offer our services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and general applications on secure servers behind a firewall.
Payment Security: All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by us adhere to PCI-DSS standards, managed by the PCI Security Standards Council (a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). These requirements ensure the secure handling of credit card information.
Purpose of Collection:
-
To provide and operate our services;
-
To provide ongoing customer service and technical support;
-
To contact visitors with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;
-
To create aggregated statistical data to improve our services;
-
To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Retention Periods: In the event of a contract, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the tax retention period (7 years). Names, addresses, and booking dates are stored further to issue participation certificates or duplicates when needed.
